Reno Phil
Led by music director Laura Jackson, the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra includes over 60 professional musicians who perform more than 30 concerts annually throughout the Reno, Carson Valley and Lake Tahoe region. The Reno Phil oversees and operates the professional orchestra, a symphonic chorus, four youth orchestras and numerous educational and outreach programs.
AVA BALLET THEATER
A.V.A. Ballet Theatre highlights principal dancers from around the United States, as well as local and regional performers. Artistic director Alexander Van-Alstyne choreographs three classical ballets and one rock ballet each year, including the popular Nutcracker each December accompanied by The Reno Phil.
ARTOWN
Artown’s mission is to strengthen Reno’s arts industry, enhance our civic identity and national image, thereby creating a climate for the cultural and economic rebirth of our region. Artown has been inspiring community through the arts since 1996. In addition to the month long festival produced each July, Artown presents world renowned touring companies through their Encore Series at the Pioneer Center.
